Master Joseph
Monaghan, 5th Degree Black Belt
Master Monaghan had a
broad martial arts background before he began studying TSD nearly 20 years
ago. Through those years he's amassed innumerable trophies in
competition, and proudly watched daughter Denay rise to the level of 2nd
Degree BB. Now an instructor at Yi's Karate in Washington Twp., NJ
under Master C.S. Kim, he says, "Tang Soo Do is an art that you can
practice your entire life and still have more to learn."

Master
Sandra Brida, 5th Degree Black Belt
Master Brida has the
distinction of being one of only 4 female masters in the IMA, and
she is the first female master from the Washington Township
School! Master Brida originally started training in 1985 to
better control a heart condition known as PSVT. Several
members of Sandy's family have also trained with her through the
years. Daughter Sandra, 28, and grandson Michael, 25, both
reached cho dan bo level, and daughter Andrea, 33, now a 6th grade
teacher, achieved a black belt! In addition to Sandra's hectic
training and teaching schedule, this mother of 6 and grandmother of
15 is the co-owner of Brida Transportation and Stone in Glassboro,
NJ. In her spare time she can often be found at the local
shooting range doing target practice or fishing in the Keys!

Master
Walter Jones, 4th Degree Black Belt
Master Jones has been a devoted student under Master C.S. Kim since
1986 and regularly teaches at the Washington Twp. school. Through
the years martial arts have helped him gain patience and
understanding that helps moderate his Type A personality. An Air
Force veteran, and currently a Regional Manager for Modell’s
Sporting Goods, Master Jones’ hobbies include parasailing,
snorkeling and chess.

Master
Bruce Clark, 4th Degree Black Belt
Training is a family affair for
Master Clark and sons Christopher, age 18 (2nd Dan), and Tyler, age 12
(1st Dan). An entrepeneur who runs a national marketing and consulting
firm, New Clients, Inc., Master Clark started training when he was in
his 20’s. He left at the red belt level, but vowed to come back, which
he did at age 39 in 1989. This Mullica Hill resident has been a
dedicated student of Master C.S. Kim ever since!
